Promotion of “Ceylon Teas” at the International Bazaar 2018
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Manila with the support of George Steuarts Philippines and Basilur, participated at the 52nd International Bazaar on 25 November 2018 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
The Sri Lanka Pavilion was traditionally inaugurated by Madame Cielito Salvador Avancena, Spouse of H.E. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, President of the Philippines, together with Madame Maria Lourdes B. Locsin, Overall Chairperson of the International Bazaar Foundation and Spouse of Hon. Teodoro Locsin Jr., Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, in the presence of the members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps, and the Board of Trustees of the International Bazaar Foundation, Inc.
A freshly brewed cup of Ceylon Tea was enjoyed by the visitors at the Sri Lanka Pavilion.
This year’s bazaar was comprised of 40 Embassies, 6 Consulate Generals, and some of the prominent Philippine companies which showcased their best crafts and other diverse products.
The International Bazaar is an annual charity event organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs, together with International Bazaar Foundation, Inc. (IBF), Spouses of the Heads of Mission (SHOM) and the members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps.
