“Courtesy Call of Sri Lankan Ambassador-designate to the Philippines on the President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)”
Sri Lanka’s Ambassador-designate to the Philippines, H.E. Shobini Gunasekera, paid a courtesy call on the President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Ms. Ma. Alegria Limjoco, on 1st October 2019.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the visit of the Sri Lanka-Philippine Business Council delegation to Manila on 21st October 2019 and arrange a networking session for business appointments between the two countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador-designate also discussed the need to re-activate the Philippine-Sri Lanka Business Council in order to maximize accruing benefits for trade and investment cooperation.
Associated with the discussions were Mr. George T. Barcelon (Chairman of PCCI), Dr. Sergio R. Ortiz-Luis Jr. (Honorary Chairman and Treasurer of PCCI), Mr. Apolinar Aure (Chairman, SME Development Committee of PCCI), Mr. Renato Simbulan (Director, Chamber & Industry Association Development), Mr. Edwin Glindro (Assistant Secretary General of PCCI) and Mrs. Thanuja Dissanayake (Minister of the Embassy).
